ViewsKinnaur (district)From eTripTips WikiKinnaur[1] is a district in Himachal Pradesh, India. It is located in the south eastern part of the state, and borders Tibet, on its eastern end. Most of the villages of Kinnaur lie at quite a high altitude, some of them close to 4000m. It is a dry and very cold area, and in the right season (July-August) its quietness, great visibility, wonderful views and somewhat mysterious atmosphere, all make it a great area to explore.

[edit] Regions[edit] Other destinations[edit] Understand[edit] Talk[edit] Get inThere are daily buses to Kinnaur from Shimla. It is also possible to enter Kinnaur from Lahaul & Spiti, but a major landslide washed away a large chunk of road between Tabo and Rekong Peo. You can take a bus to the landslide, walk up and over a steep hill (somewhat strenuous), and then catch onward transport on the other side. [edit] Get around
