Kamchatka is a peninsula in Northeastern Russia. Kamchatka is Russia's most topographically bizarre region, being extremely geologically active, full of volcanoes, geysers, hot springs, and even a lake of acid!

All flights arrive into Yelizovo, not far from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.

If going to Koryakia, about the only way to get there is by jeep from Kamchatka to Palana. It also may be possible to hitch a ride on a boat heading from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky to Severno-Kurilsk in the Kuril Islands.
