Guantanamo Bay is a bay at the south-east end of the island of Cuba. It is the site of a United States Naval Base.

Regular flights run from two airports to GTMO:

• Fort Lauderdale, FL. [1] (IATA: FLL)
• Kingston, Jamaica. (IATA: KIN)

Lynxair] flies to GTMO four times a week for the fixed price of about $450, roundtrip. Children under two fly for free, only paying taxes and surcharges.

Air Sunshine also flies from FLL to GTMO four times a week for the fixed price of about $400, roundtrip. The airline flies twice a week to Kingston for under $200, roundtrip.

Camp X-Ray itself is quite small with your movements limited. If you do decide to take your shackles for a walk, you might be permitted to amble around in the baking hot sun.

There is a small souvenir stand within the camp itself, selling small items to take home. These include goggly-eyed small fluffy toys, and clothing featuring the phrase "I went to Guantanamo Bay, and all I got was this lousy T-shirt. Allegedly."
