Default Appropriate day trip?

I'll be traveling to Japan over thanksgiving, and staying with a host family. I've been told that I will be able to spend the whole weekend with the host family as free time. I've also been told that sometimes they make the plans, and sometimes they might ask me where I want to go. There are a couple things that I would like to do, but I'm not sure if they are financially appropriate to request. (i.e. financially Tokyo Disney is out of the question) In comparison, is traveling to Mount Fuji an expensive trip? Or what about aquariums and ecotourism. (I've heard Japan has beautiful landscapes) I'm also a big fan of music, would a classical concert or a musical be appropriate? I don't know the average income of my family, or what is common in Japan so I really need help. thanks in advance!

p.s. i'll be staying in urayasu about 20 miles outside tokyo

You don't want to go to TDL? Urayasu is TDL town. It is best place to spend because so very near. You can go there even by walk or bike.

Financially speaking and spending time-wise, Mt. Fuji is much more burden, it is not so near from Urayasu. It will be whole one day or more than one day trip to go there due to transportation.

The expense for TDL would be around US$100 per person. It is not so expensive amusement because any classical concert or musical tickets and transportation in total would be almost same or higher.

Taking about aquarium, Kasai ocean park has neat aquarium very fun.

You may take water bus service from Kasai ocean park to Odaiba and Odaiba to Asakusa in one day. Time table must be checked in advance.

You can go Akihabara, Electric/Anime town or Harajuku kids street, where are about 1 hour trip from Urayasu by train.

If you like nature and animals, Mother farm in Chiba is one of place to go.

If you don't mind to be early bird and do like smell fishy, Tsukiji fish market in saturday 6AM would be momorable to drop.

Going to see Mt Fuji will involve either long hours of travelling or stay over night so I'd have thought it'll cost more than TDL.

I'd have thought day-trip into Tokyo to see various interesting sights there would be good idea. Places such as Asakusa, Ueno, Akihabara, Shibuya, Shinjuku, Harajuku and so on - there are 100s of places they can show you.

There also will be famous temples and shrines in Chiba prefecture (which is the prefecture Urayasu is in) I'm sure.

I had a great time there but I will love to make a tour there for again and again. Many travelling and fun lover visited it annually and enjoy the incredible beauty of this alluring destination. Japan is the home of tourists places which are really best for visiting and enjoying the excellent time. I have visited this country twice and both my trip are best and most remarkable travelling experiences for me. Now I will go for the tour of this country once again soon and will enjoy a superior time there with my mates. What do you say which places should I visit there at first which my mates will enjoy exploring? TYell me that which are the best attractions for group travelling.

I am ready to take the yosemite tour from san jose.
