Recently I planned for a weekend tour, after a lot of internet search I have decided to spend some evening in some sea side hotel there.
The decision was to stay in hotel Sweet Home Inn as this is at sea side.
Please do not make a mistake to stay at Shankarpur and surely if you are not going there at weekend.
I have a plan to stay for long as I had an idea that it will be a good experience to spend some days in “quite”.
I reached there one Friday afternoon, hotel owner advices me to order for food before I reach there, so I put order ,but never imagined in my wildest dream that you may literally get starved there if you do not have a pre plan or you do not have a car with you.

After reaching hotel we decided to visit sea beach!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But unfortunate.. Where is the sea beach in Shankarpur ??????? The entire see beach gone through disaster and there is no beach at all.

At the evening I discovered my family is the alone couple visited there , except hotel Sandy Bay have some visitor but that is almost half a kilometer away from Hotel Sweet Home.
It becomes a pain than fun to spend time even there is no light in streets and no shops open.
Now the drama started in Hotel, the hotel Sweet Home ran by some person who stays in kolkata but is actually ran by some rude and liberate local Oria people… If you are planning to visit Shankarpur Please.. Please.. Please do not plan to stay at Sweet Home, you may have to repent.
The hotel people assure you that they will cook food for you according to your choice but actually they prepare it at there home or some road side “jhoopri” where local people use to have liquor so be careful about the food you are going to have.
The “thakur”(local oria guy who cooks food for hotel Sweet Home) who have came to hit me and my spouse when we complained about the food quality and no body can imagine the behavior I received from them.

So if you are visiting, please avoid these “cheep” hotels, the only standard hotel there is NEST else you can bet on hotel Sandy Bay.
