I noticed a lot of European men wear rings, and on different fingers, what does this mean?
Hi,
I'm american and i'm travelling around Europe, and in erope i noticed that a lot of men and guys wear rings, which isn't necessarily so in America... but some wear it on their left thumb, some on their left ring finger, some on their left index finger, and so on with the right hand and stuff.... do rings mean different things when they are on different fingers? who knows, maybe homosexual, or maybe "i have a girlfriend" or something? or does it not matter...? thanks

I doubt it means anything.. they probably just like them.. and here in america its not that uncommon for guys to wear rings like that.

The only thing I would say is if the ring is a plain one on the left ring finger, they're probably married. The same might also be said if it's on the right ring finger, as some cultures place the wedding ring on the other hand. That's the only ring definition I know of in Europe though
