Aer Lingus sold 3 plane fulls of Business class seats at €5 each! Over 900 people I believe bought tickets for €5! at first Aer Lingus said they were going to refund all passengers, but then they decided to let everyone fly in coach. Some passengers incluuding me are planning on talking the airline to court if they dont keep up their part of the contract!

Anyone else here get tickets?

Mixed up like this sometimes happen. It's good that the airline honored the deal.

It is best the airline honor the deal but if the case goes to court, the airline is likely to win the case based on ther legal doctrines of honest mistake and unjust enrichment.

When you look at it in detail though, and visa confirmed that once the airline went into your account they agree to hold up their part of the contract. They are onl going to offer passengers seats in coach rather than the business class seat they booked.

Not true; If the airline can show that they make a genuine mistake, their only obligation is to refund you the money. This legal principle does not apply to air tickets transactions but to all sales of goods and services.
