If your flight is out of New Orleans, I would change it to Baton Rouge or leave early, they are going to use the New Orleans airport to evacuate tourists and those with special medical needs that can't make a bus or train ride. With decadence festival this weekend there are more tourists than normal, so keep that in mind. If you are flying out of BR then you are probably okay.

I think there's ZERO chance of you catching a flight out of Louisiana on Monday. And considering mass evacuations are beginning, you may have trouble finding a flight out sooner. You'd better get moving on finding one NOW unless you plan to stay through the storm.
You can see the projected path of the storm, and find links to local TV and newspaper coverage, live streaming webcams in the affected areas, preparation guides, plus links to the National Hurricane Center coverage of the storm on http://www.USAMediaGuide.com |

If you don't get out earlier than your scheduled flight, you won't be flying out. My advice is to shell out the added cash needed to re-schedule to a flight for today. If those are all booked up, rent a car and leave before the contra-flow evacuation makes it more difficult.
