Default Nassau Bahamas - Atlantis

We had lunch at the Lagoon Bar. The menu was limited to salads, sandwiches, and pizza, but the food was decent. It was however overpriced, and they had run out of chicken. The restaurant does offer a very nice view of the hotel and lagoon and if you have a late lunch, you can watch the staff feed the fish in the lagoon. You can access the underground aquarium from the restaurant, but you must walk down a flight of stairs. We had a stroller and there was no way to get it down the stairs. We found out later that you can access the aquarium, but you have to do it from one of the hotel towers. – May 26, 2007

We had dinner at Bimini Road in the Marina Village. We had to wait for a while for a table, but they were able to seat the 15 of us. The service was a little slow but friendly. The menu had lots of choices and the food was great and the portions were large. It was very expensive. – May 26, 2007

One of the best meals we had while staying in Atlantis, was actually not in Atlantis but rather at the little shacks that are under the bridge leading to Paradise Island. There is a narrow strip there along the water that is lined with little shacks selling fresh caught fish and conch. We had heard great things about the food there and wanted to try it out. We ended up eating at the 3rd shack, a little green building with white trims. We ordered 2 conch salads, conch fritters, fried snapper and fried grouper. The food was fabulous and as fresh as advertised. The price was very reasonable and it was great to sit out by the water and eat at a local place, where the locals actually eat as well. – May 27, 2007

We had dinner at the restaurant in the lobby of the Royal Tower. We had a table with a nice view of the giant aquarium behind the restaurant. The only caveat is that the menu was very limited and quite expensive. However, the food was very good and the service was excellent. – May 27, 2007

We stopped to have a quick bite at Plato’s cafι in the lobby of the Royal Tower. They make a good ham and cheese sandwich, especially if you ask them to warm it up for you. The food was pricey for what you got, but you can take it and sit outside on the terrace and just relax and enjoy the view. – May 28, 2007

We ate at the tower's restaurant overlooking the aquarium. The food was alright and the view was really nice, but it was a true disappointment that they gave our guests such a hassle to walk around the aquarium after our meal. Even after spending $300!
