The beaches are the main attraction I think. Some of those white sand beaches and crystal clear waters are the best I've seen.
As an avid scuba diver, the best attractions of the Caribbean for me lie under water. There is so much to see with numerous wrecks, outrageous coral and sea life, and amazing visibility. And the year-round warm weather is a tremendous plus
